Goku, who had genuinely believed Monaka was the strongest being in existence, was inspired by the (fake) display of power to train even harder. Monaka's design is absurdist Toriyama at its finest: a small, pink, bug-eyed alien with grotesquely prominent nipples, whose day job involves delivering packages in a modest spaceship. His total lack of combat ability is contrasted with his sincere, hardworking personality as a humble wage earner who got roped into cosmic shenanigans. Monaka represents the joke that Dragon Ball has never stopped being a comedy: even amid gods, multiversal tournaments, and existence-threatening stakes, a delivery driver with big nipples can be the secret weapon that wins the day.
